SEASON PREVIEW: Loper optimistic about Fairfield’s potential with veterans, young talent

Fairfield High School began a new ritual Aug. 30, 2019, by ringing its new Victory Bell after the Indians football team opened the season with a 33-7 win over Centerville at Fairfield Alumni Stadium. FAIRFIELD — Fairfield High School girls basketball coach David Loper’s eyes twinkle and his smile gets broad. 

Yes, Loper knows this season could be a trying one for his young Indians. And the veteran coach can’t wait.
