FAIRFIELD — Sierra Hoyte simply needed a dash of positivity to ignite her offensive game.

The Hamilton High School senior second baseman was saddled with a .118 batting average before Wednesday’s trip to Fairfield, but she cleared her head and broke out in line-drive fashion against the Indians.
