Franklin’s offense sputters, but special teams, defense and Bales’ left foot beat Edgewood

FRANKLIN — The scenario was perfect, just the way Isaiah Bales had envisioned it. The Franklin High School senior simply had to finish.

On a night when the Wildcats’ offense was essentially nonexistent, their defense and special teams showed up in a big way Friday and produced an emotional football victory
