FAIRFIELD — The Badin-Fairfield prep softball rivalry has a new life.

The Butler County foes met on the diamond for the first time in nearly 30 years Thursday and visiting Badin garnered its third-ever win over the Indians, a 14-6 decision at Creekside Middle School.
