FAIRFIELD — Jerome Nelson has found a new challenge in Fairfield High School’s girls basketball program.

He’s the Indians’ new head coach, pending school-board approval Thursday, and feels it’s a position that’s perfect for him following Carl Woods’ decision to step down after two seasons at the
