Franklin elevates Abshear to head coaching job to replace Rossi: ‘I genuinely care about the program’

FRANKLIN — Matt Abshear has jumped into his new position with a full head of steam and an optimistic outlook for the future.

Abshear is the new head girls basketball coach at Franklin High School, having spent the last five seasons as the Wildcats’ junior varsity coach under John Rossi.
