Monroe turning the corner with help from Boyd, who’s found a connection with the Hornets

CARLISLE — Cadence Boyd is a newcomer to Monroe High School’s girls basketball team this season, though it doesn’t exactly feel that way.

She was at Lakota West last year and not playing basketball because of medical issues, but her father Terrell was an assistant under Chad Adolph at
