‘Sandman’ Metzger goes low on card, Fenwick stands fifth after Day 1 at state tournament

UPPER ARLINGTON — Luke Metzger had a stretch of what he called “first-tee jitters” on Friday as the Division II state boys golf tournament began. But it didn’t last long.

The Fenwick High School junior played through it and placed himself in contention for the individual championship with a 4-over-par
