A long trip and a piece of history: Monroe handles Elida for first playoff win since 2009

ELIDA — Chandler Holler has endured enough losing in his Monroe High School football career to fully understand this: Winning is better. And making history is beautiful.

The Hornets did both Friday at Elida, and they did it their way. Monroe’s smashmouth performance ruled the night and powered the visitors
