Mangold’s free throws in final seconds lift Lakota East to second straight district championship

NORWOOD — Nate Johnson was pretty excited and very much relieved as the Lakota East High School celebration continued around him.

Johnson, the Thunderhawks’ junior star, had to admit he felt the season slipping away Sunday afternoon before senior teammate Alex Mangold came to the rescue in the final seconds.
