MADISON TOWNSHIP — Optimism is ruling the preseason for Madison High School’s girls basketball team.

Eighth-year coach Brian McGuire has an experienced, talented and finally healthy roster, and he believes the Mohawks can be serious challengers as they compete for their first Southwestern Buckeye League Buckeye Division championship since 2015-
