Lakota East earns district championship, will make return trip to state with Mason

BEAVERCREEK — Lakota East High School’s girls golf team earned its third straight trip to the Division I state tournament by winning the district championship Thursday at Beavercreek Golf Club.

Grace Honigford’s 4-over-par 76 led the Thunderhawks as they totaled 315 strokes to edge fellow state qualifiers Centerville (317) and Mason (317). Maddie
