OXFORD — Talawanda High School’s football team made history Friday night by defeating Badin for the first time since 1969, holding off a late charge to secure a 24-17 triumph at Talawanda Field.

The Brave improved to 2-0 under first-year coach Larry Cox, a 1982 Badin graduate who was facing his alma
