Monroe tops Carlisle, aims high with veteran team and two-time district qualifier

GERMANTOWN — Alex Gomia is setting his personal bar high enough that a 3-over-par medalist performance simply doesn’t cut it.

The Monroe High School senior was frustrated with that result Wednesday after leading the Hornets past Carlisle 178-186 in a matchup of Southwestern Buckeye League boys golf teams at Jamaica
