Waynesville edges Carlisle, controls its own destiny in quest for fifth straight SWBL title

CARLISLE — Championships are part of Waynesville High School’s girls basketball culture, and the Spartans have taken a big step toward another one.

It wasn’t easy. Indeed, the squad has been transformed a bit without leading scorer Isabella Cassoni, a sophomore guard who could only play the first 11 games
