Lakota West overcomes slow start and grinds past Olentangy Berlin, advances to D-I regional final

COLUMBUS — The high-flying fireworks show that Lakota West High School’s boys basketball team often produces didn’t materialize Thursday night.

The top-ranked Firebirds won decisively anyway, tossing style points aside in favor of a workmanlike victory over Olentangy Berlin at the Ohio Expo Center’s Taft Coliseum.
