FAIRFIELD — According to Monroe High School boys basketball coach Casey Popplewell, his Hornets simply needed to wake up.

The Hornets led Cincinnati Christian by 7 points at halftime Saturday afternoon in the Butler County Bash before erupting for 52 points after the break en route to a dominating 87-47 victory at Fairfield
