Fairmont secures first D-I district championship since 2003 as Turner blanks Fairfield with no-hitter

CENTERVILLE — Ava Hensley managed a smile amid the disappointment.

Fairfield High School’s softball season had just ended in humbling fashion Thursday as the Indians got no-hit by Kettering Fairmont’s Jaylin Turner in a 7-0 defeat in a Division I district championship game at Centerville.
