Monroe fights off Edgewood and celebrates first SWBL title since 2007, but Franklin can still share

MONROE — One by one the Monroe High School boys basketball team climbed the ladder to cut down the net Friday night while head coach Casey Popplewell beamed like a proud papa. 

The Hornets gutted out a 48-42 victory over visiting Edgewood in front of a standing-room-only crowd to claim
