Armstrong rises up with huge night as streaking Waynesville conquers Edgewood in OT thriller

ST. CLAIR TOWNSHIP — Griffin Armstrong was the unlikely hero Waynesville High School’s boys basketball team needed Saturday night.

Usually the Spartans’ sixth man, Armstrong got thrust into the starting lineup two straight nights because of an illness and came up especially big in their regular-season finale against Edgewood at
