MONROE — It was a tale of two halves for the Monroe High School boys basketball team Wednesday night as the Hornets kicked off the 2025-26 season in victorious fashion.

Ty Perkins poured in 19 points, Colt Howard had 12 points, and Steven Rude chipped in 9 points and 10 boards as the host Hornets
