MONROE — A loss is a loss, but losing by a point …well, that’s a haven for second-guessing.

So it was for Monroe High School coach Casey Popplewell on Monday night after the Hornets dropped a 42-41 decision to visiting Little Miami in nonleague boys basketball play.
