SPORTS REEL: Talawanda’s Thomas reflects on his state title 40 years after achieving school history

OXFORD — Bill Thomas came home as a state champion nearly four decades ago. He just didn’t have a heavy load to bring with him.

Thomas earned Talawanda High School’s first-ever state title back in the fall of 1984 when he tied for first place with Worthington’s Chip Coman
