‘A home-run hire’ … Luers, a national championship college player, chosen to lead Fenwick’s program

MIDDLETOWN — Fenwick High School athletic director Tyler Miller called it “a home-run hire.”

The Falcons have introduced Kami Luers as their new head girls basketball coach, and Miller said Fenwick has found the person to right the ship.

Luers hasn’t coached at the high school level since 2006, but
