FAIRFIELD — What Fairfield High School’s softball team needed Saturday was some cooperation from Mother Nature.

Once the Indians got that, they took it from there.

The weather finally turned bright and sunny after a miserable run of rain and Fairfield sprang to life with a 12-2, five-inning triumph over
