FAIRFIELD — Bob Bowen reacted with exuberance when it became official that Fairfield High School’s girls bowling season would continue.

The Indians took sixth place in the Division I sectional at RollHouse Fairfield last Thursday and earned a trip to the district tournament, delaying Bowen’s retirement from coaching at
