Carpenter steps up in D-III sectional opener as Madison avenges regular-season loss to Arcanum

COVINGTON — Livia Carpenter was Madison High School’s secret weapon Thursday night.

The sophomore forward made her third appearance since enduring a lengthy break because of a high ankle sprain and scored a career-high 16 points for the Mohawks, who kicked off Division III sectional play with a 43-40 triumph over
