ST. CLAIR TOWNSHIP — The slow start didn’t alarm Xavier Fugate, even in a difficult season.

His Edgewood High School girls basketball team fell behind winless Fenwick by 7 points in the second quarter before righting the ship Wednesday night, collecting a 58-47 home victory at Ron Kash Court.
