FRANKLIN — According to Franklin High School senior guard Carter Black, it all came down to toughness.

In a boys basketball game in which neither team yielded the paint without a blood sacrifice, the Wildcats made just enough plays Friday night to scrape out a 48-40 win over visiting Ross in
