Fenwick survives roller-coaster ride with Carlisle, earns victory in McCarthy’s head coaching debut

CARLISLE — Andy McCarthy had to admit he was worn out by the time his first head coaching victory was secured Saturday night.

Fenwick High School’s boys basketball team opened the 2023-24 season with a 58-43 road triumph over Carlisle and presented McCarthy with a 1-0 record after he spent
