Fairfield rallies past Lakota East to remain unbeaten in GMC and celebrate Stieger’s 500th career victory

FAIRFIELD — In the middle of the balloons, her team and plenty of alumni and well-wishers stood the woman who’s been part of Fairfield High School’s softball tradition since practically the beginning of the program.

Brenda Stieger played at Fairfield — she’s a 1983 graduate — and has been in charge
