Madison forges big lead, then fights off Clark Montessori to begin D-III sectional play with a win

FAIRFIELD — Once the tournament begins, the name of the game is survive and advance. That is exactly what Madison High School’s girls basketball team Thursday night.

The sixth-seeded Mohawks built a 17-point lead through the first three quarters against No. 4 Clark Montessori, then disappeared offensively for nearly five minutes
