Looking back at Badin’s historic 1998 surge to the D-II state championship: Memories are ‘pure joy’

HAMILTON — The historic run won’t be forgotten by Dan Purcell. Indeed, Badin High School’s 1998 Division II state girls basketball championship is still very fresh in his mind.

“Twenty-five years later, it’s vivid. It’s there,” Purcell said. “I can’t believe it was 25 years ago.”
