Fisher’s big night not enough for Fairfield as St. Xavier pulls off 42-28 road victory in D-I playoffs

FAIRFIELD — Junior quarterback Talon Fisher turned in a huge performance for Fairfield High School’s football team Friday night, but the Indians fell to visiting St. Xavier 42-28 in a Division I, Region 4 playoff opener at Fairfield Alumni Stadium.

Fisher rushed 19 times for 224 yards and three touchdowns while completing 8-of-
