ROSS TOWNSHIP — Myrissa Combs took a swing-hard, keep-it-low approach as she stood at home plate in a tie game Saturday afternoon.

There’s no question the Ross High School sophomore catcher has home-run power, but she didn’t feel like that would be the proper mind-set.
