MONROE — While history was being made, Elijah Jackson understandably had little idea that it was happening.

Monroe High School’s football team was locked in a wild offensive slugfest against visiting Western Brown last Friday night, so winning was clearly the No. 1 thing on everybody’s minds, not the statistics
