Fairfield avoids first-round sectional exit, rallies for stunning win over Talawanda in eight innings

FAIRFIELD — On a day when it just felt like Fairfield High School’s softball team was destined to get bounced out of the Division I sectional tournament, the Indians managed to find a little magic.

Fairfield rallied from 4-1 and 5-2 deficits, got a two-out, two-run single from Clara Bultman
