Volker brings youth, enthusiasm to new position at Talawanda: ‘We want to be different’

OXFORD — It was during a Division II playoff game last season that the Talawanda High School football team caught Jay Volker’s eye.

As the defensive coordinator at Kings, Volker watched his squad stymie the Brave in a 42-7 victory, but the determination of the Talawanda players impressed him.
