Mathews brings a lively bat to Fairfield’s lineup, goes deep twice in rout of Hamilton

FAIRFIELD — Three games into her Ohio softball career, Jessi Mathews is already making a major impact.

The Fairfield High School junior shortstop is hitting a crisp .900 after going 4-for-4 on Monday against visiting Hamilton, smacking two home runs and a double while driving in five runs in an 11-1 Greater
