Freshman Combs sparks Ross, which roars back from early deficit to sink Badin in opener

ROSS TOWNSHIP — Ross High School freshman catcher Myrissa Combs calls the softball field her “happy place.”

In her varsity debut Saturday, Combs helped turn her happy place into a diamond of sorrows for Badin as the hosts claimed an 11-8 opening-day victory in the clash of Butler County rivals.
