WILMINGTON — Jude Hess admitted he was a little excited.

The Ross High School junior cut loose with sheer exuberance and found some celebratory hugs Saturday after winning his blood-round match in the Division II district wrestling tournament at Wilmington, a win-or-go-home victory that clinched his first state berth.
